略歴
ペリー・コモ （Perry Como 1912年5月18日～2001年5月12日） はアメリカ合衆国ペンシルベニア州キャノンズバーグ生まれの歌手。
理髪店の見習いをしていた頃に町の歌声コンクールで優勝したことが、きっかけで１９３６年に歌手としてデビュー。
「歌う床屋さん」 と呼ばれて親しまれた。
国内、国外問わずファンに、誠実な印象を与えたことが大きい特徴。
美しい声とスキャンダルの少ない清潔な歌手として人々の記憶に残る。
マフィアとの関係を嫌い、カジノでの公演を拒否した話も有名。
２００１年５月１２日フロリダの自宅で惜しくも８８歳で生涯を閉じた。

このスペシャル・ミュージック（Special Music）・レーベルは、クリスマス特集の安価ＣＤシリーズとして、エルヴィス・プレスリー、 マヘリア・ジャクソン他を多くリリースしている。
音質はデジタルのマスターには及ばないが個人的にペリー・コモのクリスマス集という事が優先なので満足している。
